Sam Collins, sometimes called Crying Sam Collins, wails about what it’s like to be locked up in “Jail House Blues.” Sam Collins was one of the more prolific early blues recording artists. His recording career started in 1927 where he developed his style – in Southern Mississippi, rather then in the Delta where many of his successors found their voices. Check out this superb, very early blues record.
