All right! This is what the doctor ordered. Some great music from the past to remind you of what songwriting used to be.
Man, this is some roadhouse bustin’ piana ticklin’ fiddle faddlin’ saloon gristle. Every riff in this nugget has been been refried, and served up a zillion times. But imagine, as you listen, how it sounded when this was first made. Cliches only become cliches after people repeat them over and again. This would have blown the roof off any public watering hole, for sure, in its day, and that’s why it sounds so darn familiar in these modern times.

Nobody knows much about Blind Leroy Garnett. Well, one things for certain, on a rainy day it’s nice to play his music next to a heater or fireplace as you lose your identity in a good book. Ragtime loungin’ ain’t such a bad idea during the cold winter months.
Sweet song Sugar! Makes me think about the morning dew drops in some alley as I walk home from a wonderful and enchanted evening. Thinking about champaign, dancing shoes, and a smile under a chandelier…
