Now here’s some history in a time capsule. Song From A Cotton Field is some hard hitting protest music that you just can’t mess with. And that dixie swing band really knocks it out. With her golden voice and vaudeville background, Bessie Brown was a groundbreaking force in the 30’s with her oh so hot jazz band.
This lovely duet by Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth has found it’s way to us from the original 78 RPM vinyl record from 1911, and the lush tones of their harmonies and accompaniment survive the trip beautifully. Great music from yer grandpappy’s time.

A rare beauty from 1918, Harry Fox’s gorgeous rendition of I’m Always Chasing Rainbows is a real heart melter. Surprisingly good sound quality on this one, considering it was ripped from an original 78 RPM vinyl record.
