Whooo whooo! All aboard the express to Hot Town, people, get on and get ready. This is so hot there’s steam comin outta my laptop. Can you dig? Fess Williams and his Royal Flush Orchestra have a winning hand with this classic, and you should get with it right away. Oh, this is good.

Now here’s some history in a time capsule. Song From A Cotton Field is some hard hitting protest music that you just can’t mess with. And that dixie swing band really knocks it out. With her golden voice and vaudeville background, Bessie Brown was a groundbreaking force in the 30′s with her oh so hot jazz band.
This lovely duet by Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth has found it’s way to us from the original 78 RPM vinyl record from 1911, and the lush tones of their harmonies and accompaniment survive the trip beautifully. Great music from yer grandpappy’s time.
