With his wife Memphis Minnie on lead guitar, Joe McCoy laid down this seminal cut which much later became a hit for Led Zeppelin. A true folk blues original, this song sounds as sweet today as it did in 1929.
Now this is what the blues is all about. Morose melodies played by a weeping violin that stirs up compassion and makes you sympathize with the singer. Grand recording, heartfelt delivery, powerful song. Enjoy!
